About Me

"I usually claim that pregnant women should not read books about pregnancy and birth.  Their time is too precious. They should, rather, watch the moon and sing to their baby in the womb."

Michel Odent

First and foremost I am a mama of 3 wonderful young humans and a lover of all things wild and free.

I am a birth worker and a holder of sacred space.

I became a mama at 18 and it was soon after that I heard the calling of With Woman.

I then dove deep into self study of birth, plant medicine, homeopathic medicine, natural children’s medicine and gained a deep understanding and trust in our bodies ability to heal and self regulate.

I became a doula through DONA and worked primarily with teen moms.

I birthed 2 more of my own babies at home, one in Maine and one in Connecticut.

In 2011 I attended WomanCraft Midwifery and was given an immediate opportunity to begin apprenticeship

to start working through the PEP process for certification.

All of the Connecticut midwives have extended their time and knowledge to me.

When I’m not working or spending time with my family, I recharge by getting into the woods with my dog and my practice of Kundalini yoga. I am also very called to wildcrafting plant medicine.

Today I’m pleased to offer a range of services that reflect what I’ve studied and trained in throughout the years including Homebirth Midwifery Care, Reiki, Sacred placenta encapsulation, and post pregnancy belly binding.

If you have questions for me about any of my offerings I encourage you to

get in touch with me

as I am more than happy to be of service.

With Love,

Kara
